HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 20, 2026) – The passing of the operational leadership torch should be done on Thursday night in Holland Charter Township.
After Steve Bulthuis was honored for eight years as the municipality’s manager during an open house on Wednesday evening, he will be a part of his final township board meeting. He had initially announced his intentions in February to retire after more than three decades of public service, but agreed to stay on as the board conducted a search for his successor. Josh Eggleston comes over from Zeeland Township to begin his new duties on Monday.
Among the items before trustees in the 7 PM meeting include approving a contract with GDK Construction for building improvements to both the Riley Street Fire Station and the Public Safety Building off of James Street, along with purchasing just over 11 acres of vacant land at a cul-de-sac on the end of Greenway Drive at a cost of $660,000, and allowing the state police to conduct a speed study on 104th Avenue between Adams and Perry streets.
The Holland Charter Township meeting is in the Township offices (353 N. 120th Ave.).
