ASHEVILLE, North Carolina, Sept 1 (Reuters) – Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda said on Tuesday he hoped to discuss with his board at this month’s meeting whether the economy is moving in line with its forecast, and whether inflation risks were heightening.
“We have raised our policy rate five times so far, so we need to carefully scrutinize how the cumulative impact of the moves could affect the economy,” Ueda told a news conference after attending the G20 finance leaders’ gathering.
