HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Sept. 14, 2026) – Holland State Park is getting a clean-up effort from those whose profession is promoting this state’s attractions.
More than 150 hospitality and tourism leaders from around Michigan will participate in a series of familiarization trip activities around the Tulip City this week. This includes over 20 volunteer projects at the state park that encompasses rebuilding and restoring, as well as preparing land for tulip planting at the end of the month. The group will also take a walking history tour of downtown Holland, visiting the Big Red Lighthouse and Nelis’ Dutch Village, and more during their visit to the area.
Nick Nerbonne with Traverse City Tourism has been a frequent visitor to Holland in the past due to a prior association with the MEDC’s Pure Michigan program.
