HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Oct. 15, 2026) – Will the novelty wear off in year two, or will the overwhelming response to one of Holland’s newest attractions continue?
That question may begin to be answered on Friday, when initial tickets for access to the Holland Ice Park go on sale online. Over 33,000 persons booked individual skating sessions, with around 35,000 skaters stepping onto the pond and 700-foot-long skating ribbon.
The facility off of East 6th Street and College Avenue should be open for the season on November 20th, with a targeted end date of March 14th, weather permitting Rates will remain at $10 per person for 90 minutes of skating.
Complimentary skate rental is included, and this Black River Public School student, who helped distribute those blades last winter, related his experience this past March during a Holland City Council meeting.
The first block of tickets are for the last 11 days of November, with further blocks available on a month-by-month basis at 30-day intervals. The adjoining separate curling sheet, which had 213 group bookings last winter, opens on December 1st.
