Oct 20 (Reuters) – Online trading platform Webull said on Tuesday it has partnered with prediction market operator Kalshi to offer perpetual futures to US customers from November, starting with cryptocurrencies.
Here are more details:
• Perpetual futures, or perps, are derivatives that lack a traditional expiration date, allowing traders to hold positions indefinitely without rolling over contracts
• Demand for cryptocurrency derivatives in the United States has surged since the Commodity Futures Trading Commission approved the country’s first perpetual futures contracts earlier this year for crypto exchange Coinbase and prediction market Kalshi
• Webull’s perpetual futures will list on KalshiEX LLC, an exchange regulated by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and clear through Kalshi Klear LLC, a CFTC-regulated clearinghouse
• The rollout will begin with Bitcoin and other crypto assets, before expanding more widely by year-end
• The company plans additional products beyond cryptocurrency, subject to regulatory review and exchange listing requirements
• “Perpetual futures have become a significant part of global derivatives markets, with annual volume reaching more than $90 trillion in 2025,” Webull US CEO Anthony Denier said
• Once available, Webull customers will be able to access the offering via their existing Webull Futures account
