HOLLAND, MI (WHTC, Oct. 30, 2026) – Youngsters can get an early jump on Halloween trick-or-treating on Friday.
Some participating retailers in downtown Zeeland will be offering cider and donuts, as well as helping to fill the loot bags, from 3 PM to 5 PM. There will also be photo stations for those wishing to capture the moment.
On the 31st, many Lakeshore communities have established house-to-house trick-or-treating from 5 PM to 7 PM at residences with its lights on. This will be a tricky time in a different sense, according to Allegan County Sheriff Frank Baker.
Baker adds that Saturday will also be a time of increased law enforcement awareness on area roadways, as more and more adults are taking part in Halloween parties, and the risks associated with impaired and distracted driving are heightened.
