HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM, Aug. 4, 2026) – In Michigan, the first Tuesday in August is Primary Election Day. Around the country, it’s National Night Out.
Put together by the National Association of Town Watch, its an effort to bring community members together, according to Holland Department of Public Safety Captain of Administrative Services Bob Buursma.
From 5:30 to 8 PM at Kollen Park, there will be a number of activities and exhibits for the entire family. A similar gathering is planned from 6-8 PM near the Splash Pad at the corner of Elm and Main in downtown Zeeland; from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Station one in Casco Township; and earlier in the day, from 11 AM to 1 PM at Celebration Cinema inside of Grandville’s Rivertown Crossings mall.
